Each dumbbell head is coated with Rubber Plastic Elastomer, or “RPE”, and is between rubber and urethane on the durability scale. The six-sided, aka “octagon” or “multi-sided”, shape keep dumbbells in place and help prevent them from rolling off your weight bench between sets. Each beefy, ergonomic handle conforms to the natural shape of the hand and has a diameter of up to 34mm to better distribute the weight throughout the hand while eliminating pinch points. Each side includes large, engraved numbers that make identifying the dumbbell size easy from almost any distance. And to ensure a maintenance free design, we press-fit each chrome handle into each weighted head with a heavy-duty, hydraulic press and then fully weld. No more loose bolts and rattling dumbbells!
